When Hearts Collide / See You Later Sanity are both dark and gritty yet euphoric and joyous all at the same time. Aristo G delivers classy post-punk vocals which spin a love story narrative gone wrong. The EP comes with two dubbed-out mixes, friendly for the clubs.
Following his collaboration on the last Losless EP, Roman Kyn returns to Watergate Records with his first full release on the label. Close the Door is a powerful anthem about embracing new beginnings and living in the present. The track aims to inspire listeners by highlighting the immense potential of the present moment, reminding us that we often dwell too much on the past or worry about the future. By urging us to close the door on whats behind us, the song reframes uncertainty as an opportunity for growth, encouraging us to make the most of our time and fully experience lifes richness. On the B-side, In Plain Sight takes a more introspective approach, exploring the quiet yet profound journey of self-discovery. It suggests that true personal growth often comes not from dramatic external changes, but from recognizing and embracing our authentic selves. Together, these tracks form a cohesive EP that encourages both outward change and inward reflection-reminding us that our greatest potential is often closer than we realize, waiting to be uncovered.
Smiling like a rainbow, Burning like an asteroid Clubland is filled with duos, sometimes they grew up sharing bunk beds, sometimes they met on a dancefloor, or sometimes -as with Lord Fascinator & Kate Stein- they met on a tropical island after one had commissioned the other to create several giant monsters for a music video. Fast forward through ten years of costumes, chemicals, religious art projects and Mad Max yoga retreats, they have finally cemented their relationship in the studio with their Primary EP, 4 tracks of psychedelic synth-pop, cowboy disco and cosmically inclined iridescent electronica. Living in LA in 2022, where they found themselves sharing a crumbling castle turret, the EP started to take shape when Kate - the aforementioned monster maker and now up & coming DJ and producer - shared her latest demos with Lord Fascinator. Aided and abetted by both the musical ghosts of Laurel Canyon and a regular supply of caffeine the pair began to craft these demos into an EP that segues from sublime synth pop odes to chemical love and intoxicating attraction through to country disco without missing a beat. The EP kicks off with Chemistry, a song whose spacey synth arpeggios wrap themselves around trippy house beats and a bass line that pulses like the heartbeat of a planet. Its a third eye opener of a track, one that kicks down the doors of perception only to find a secret nightclub filled with neon smiles hidden behind and perfectly sets the playful mood for everything that follows. As it happens what follows is the cosmically inclined synth-pop and trance inducing disco of Asteroid. A paean to falling in love on drugs Asteroid somehow finds the hitherto unknown sweet spot between Spiritualized and Lipps Inc. and, thanks in no small part to Lord Fascinators celebratory chorus, blazes like its namesake across the night sky. So far, so cosmic. What you may not have been expecting then is country touched club banger Horse House, a track that combines a galloping hypnotic house beat and pulsating synths with all manner of Morriconeesque whistles, lonesome guitar twangs, equine snorts and, of course, the repeated chant that theres a horse in this house. The track may have started life as a joke but its effect on dancefloors has been anything but and Horse House joins the select ranks of other fine western themed classics that have curiously littered the history of club music. Finally, to close out the EP, we have Le Petit Martien, which despite its extraterrestrial title and occasional French lyrics, maintains the western vibes, cantering along at a steady 110bpm. Its a bit like the impossible love child of say the Bad Seeds Red Right Hand, Serge Gainsbourgs Bonnie and Clyde and one of Todd Terjes more playful moments, in other words the perfect way for this free spirited EP to ride off into the sunset.
TAU proudly welcomes a couple of highly talented artists to the label - Fel C & Cafius. The duo have combined their respective musical skills to create the double-header Dont Stop EP. Cafius is an experienced drummer, so you know the beats are going to be on point, while Fel C has firm grounding in music theory and history. Together they merge formal training, multi-instrumental experience and, most importantly, a deep love for the dance floor, as demonstrated on releases for Diynamic and Sincopat. Now they join TAU with two fresh cuts that showcase their innate talents... The title track comes in punchy and uptempo with the beats full of propulsive energy. A melodic low end flows neatly under the beats, while a male vocal spits a rhyme in the lead breakdown before the track really gets pumping. When its unleashed, the energy is infectious with the drums, bass and melodic elements combining explosively. The progression is masterful, as a variety of layers are added to keep the cut lively and vibrant, without overcooking it. As the main vocal says, You cannot f*** with this energy!. On the flip, Cafius & Fel C take us a little deeper with the aptly-named Digital Satisfaction. Again, their use of layering and arrangement is essential to this tracks intricate and impactful nature. Wonderfully uplifting melodies work in harmony, while the funky bassline and crisp beats keep you moving. The main vocal evokes a feeling of familiarity, and the breakdown provides a perfect moment of euphoria and energetic release. Time to gather up your friends and dance like theres no tomorrow!
French-based Harry Kaze kicks off his Diynamic debut with a vibrant three-track ride. Sunlight opens the journey with a warm, romantic glow - a track that feels like golden hour stretched into sound. Anybody Else follows with a dreamy, weightless vibe that gently pulls you in. Bananas wraps it up with a rush of wildness, freedom, and that unbeatable feeling of dancing like nobodys watching. A feel-good EP that hits all the right spots.
Bren Lock returns to the label with Way Back Home, following the success of previously released single Cold War. This track builds on 80s-inspired synths that drive the melody while allowing space for a rhythmic bassline and crisp beats, showcasing Locks exceptional sound design skills. Paired with an indie-style male vocal, the result is a standout tune, something truly special that will light up the airwaves and stay on repeat all summer long.
Montagne Noir is a new artist who signs for a release on FenixFire Records. His sound is straight up oldschool New Beat. Dance to the Beat is the perfect example and the opening track of this fancy EP. Destroyer of Worlds brings an even darker atmosphere to this EP. A powerful synth theme, some screaming acidline and disturbing vocals. Tell Us brings acid fully to the forefront and explores the machinery to the maximum of its possibilities. A must have in the collection. FenixFire is always ahead!
Our beloved duo Disfreq is back and delivers another four-track adrenaline rush on Diynamic, each track a new chapter. Slice sets the tone with punchy kick and bold vocals by Lala Hayden, while Sweat! turns up the heat with signature grooves. Show Me The Way shifts the vibe with playful synths and unexpected twists. Bring It Down leaving a lasting impression and concluding the story with a grand finale.
Exploited warmly welcome back FM4 resident Joyce Muniz who returns to label and continues her incremental ascent with a slice of gratitude in the form of bumping, Lo-fi Italo. Mo Dupe makes use of vocals from a Nigerian ritual that pays homage to the Goddess of abundance, Oxum. The raw, untreated timbre of the vocals are paired with a crunchy, textural bed as bit crushed drums bump with a palpable snap and a propulsive bass line bores straight through the heart of the groove like a train track. Foggy synths and a hefty dose of spacious delay whip up a thick, intoxicating energy across a track that manages to be both singular and deeply playable.
Sincopat is proud to welcome Ary Sya to the family with a release that masterfully blends multiple influences and styles. This colourful EP fuses melodic house with a radiant summer vibe and dancefloor energy, creating a sonic journey steeped in Japanese inspiration. Two of the tracks, Nikita and Akari, pay homage to this cultural influence through their names. The journey begins with Nikita, a very personal track for the artist. The track resonated deeply with Ary Syas mother, Nicole, who, upon hearing it for the first time, simply said, I love it. That heartfelt moment led to the decision to name it Nikita, as a subtle tribute to her. Akari, fully embraces the Japanese theme as well, with a bright and summery feel. Akari means light in Japanese. To close the release, Melon draws inspiration from a fruit considered precious and refined in Japanese culture. The artist translates this essence into music, creating a delicate yet impactful track, a perfect balance of elegance and intensity. With this release, Ary Sya brings a fresh and unique perspective to Sincopat, offering an immersive musical experience that is as soulful as it is danceable.

While we wont be anointing Bawrut as an earthbound deity just yet, we do kneel before his almighty beats and dancefloor mastery. The EP opens with Gallopp, a track born from rediscovered sound files buried deep within Bawruts laptop. As he puts it: The metallic sounds and percussive pace remind me of a horse galloping. or maybe its my little one, kicking like a future champion. Music possesses an incredible ability to transform raw emotion into an expansive array of expression. Nackley knows this ideation well. Having spent years working behind the scenes as an agent, Bordellos latest discovery now steps fully into the spotlight with Anger Management, channeling the turbulence of transition into sound. Cathartic and charged compositions are at the heart of this four-track release. Acid-dipped keys are both delicate and direct in the driving highs of Return of the Gecko, a track pulsing with raw energy. The crueler side of the music industry isnt so much parodied here as it is dismissed entirelyNackley lets the music do the talking. Sublime Desolation is pure dancefloor dynamite, where synth sirens detonate and explosive rhythm commands movement. Been A Long Time arrives dripping in attitude. Breaks and a juddering bassline face off with a hustling 303 hook, harmonies weaving through deep sonic textures. A renewed confidence courses through the release as Nackley explores a range of styles, closing with the synth romance of Heartbreakeran addictive blend of keyboards, guitar strings, and enveloping vocals are the emotive ingredients of this tear-streaked work of 1980s-inspired joy. And joy is exactly what Anger Management deliversa healing triumph and a bold debut declaration from a rising talent.
