Lazy Days regular Matt Masters is back on Lazy Days after his previous solo EPs and his collaboration with Milton Jackson. This time, hes teaming up with none other than UK legend, Danny Howells. The pair met online during covid, when Matt played one of Dannys track on one of his live stream. With the mutual respect and the relationship building up, they decided to work on a project together. After a bouncing a few ideas back and forth, the pair met to work together and put together what would become Introspection EP. The result is a perfect storm. A combination of Matts 20 years experience working for Freerange Records (and having a mentor like Jimpster!) and Dannys long and successful carrer as a pioneer a deeper progressive sound that made him one of the masters in the genre. The EPs features 3 tracks : Introspection, Elevate and NTO. All beautifully crafter with this unique blend of deepness, dubby sounds, skillful use of samples and melodies. Final edits, overdubs and mixing were done by Fred Everything in Montreal.
Red Pig Flower brings you her sensational debut album Practice Love, available on Sound Of Vast from 10th April. Her unique sound sits upon the apex of a three-sided pyramid. With Berlin, Tokyo and Seoul as the base, Red is a third culture kid, greater than the sum of her parts. The centre is filled with her incredible appreciation and knowledge of house and electronic music from every pin drop through history. So taken with Red Pig Flowers sound, Honey Dijon invited Red to her Southbank Centre show to play alongside her. Moxie loves her that much, that she invited Red to record a mix and to guest on her NTS show. Alan Fitzpatrick, and Just Her are amongst Reds growing posse of followers. Practice Love is a culmination of all of Red Pig Flowers life experiences, brimming with her positive energy and an outlook on life of pure love. Red has collaborated with like-minded artists at every level: the music, the cover art and video all produced with talented friends, who get Red as the wonderful person she is and understand her vision. Her label partner and good friend, Knock in particular helped make Practice Love the incredible album it is. So intuitive is their musical symbiosis, they made 20 tracks and carefully curated and ordered nine of these, making an album of tracks that stand out on their own, yet flow perfectly as an album. Practice Love will make you feel joyous when you play it. By the end, you will feel like you know Red like a friend. Practice Love kicks off with I dont care, it makes you feel good: a dreamy, tribal mantra of a track that does exactly what it says on the tin. Next up is I Love To Dance. Reds beautiful soft vocal is sweet yet poignant, leaving you in no doubt of her sincerity. Thirdly comes Feel Good Music. Are you getting a feel from the track names yet that this is an album of warmth and positivity? You can imagine this one at a Café Del Mar sunset, where those who get the spirituality of Ibiza come together, in the moment to appreciate the beauty of a sunset and understand that no matter how many you see, each is magical and unique. The three tracks so far have taken you to twilight. The titular Practice Love takes you by the hand onto the dancefloor. There is a double meaning to Practice Love- The first is to make love your practice. The second is that you need to practice love to be able to become a practitioner of love. The video, shot by her friend Jelly, features Red Pig Flower in Brick Lane, London, wearing a little piggy mask and offering free hugs. The first passersby ignore her sign, but Red isnt disheartened, spreading the right message, dancing with joy. Her optimism is rewarded, making peoples day better on a cold English afternoon. Fifth track Sax and Drugs takes things a little sleazier, the beat is filthy and the synths are sexy. Your body starts to move to this one before your brain even realises. The incredible Declan McDermott joins on saxophone, the funkiest synths and Reds sultry vocal washing your soul with Laurent Garnier inspired sunlight. On Thisiz House Music, again featuring Declan, Red takes you even further back. About Frankie Knuckles OClock, with a portal straight to 2025. By now, you will agree with me that Practice Love flows so, so well. I Wanna Meet Somebody follows incredibly, continuing the feeling that if you close your eyes, youre dancing with David Mancuso at the Loft. No Money completes this EP-within-an-album. Perfect vocal samples, valve synth riff and 808 drum patterns showing that producers as good as Red Pig Flower make it sound effortless. The best albums finish memorably and No Genre is one of those perfect finishers. Think Andrew Wetheralls production on Screamadelica. The lights are up in the club, nobody wants to go home, arms in the air wanting more. Red Pig Flower explains: Practice Love resonates deeply with me because house music has always been a sanctuary-a place for unity, joy, and self-expression. As a nomad and outsider, club culture and house music became my shelter. The cities Ive lived in-Seoul, Tokyo, Berlin, and London and more-nurtured me and shaped who I am today. Thats why the cover, by the incredible Carlos Sulpizio features their skylines, and the album is multilingual, representing the diverse influences in my life. Practice Love is like a meal that has been prepared lovingly. They always taste better. And theres plenty more to come from Red Pig Flower. How was your appetizer?

Irish producer Glennny is back in the pocket – returning to Nordic Trax with Dream and a slew of late-night goodies. Following his recording debut with NT in 2024, the Wicklow (by-way-of Berlin) producer steps up to deliver a seven-track ep of deep & bluesy house. From the lead song Dream, through to stand-out tracks Sometimes and Infinite, Glennnys music imagines a world of smoke-filled afterhours and electric piano jams. Snowfox is a driving, old-school percussive track with a nod to Adonis, at home alongside the euphoric vibes of In The Morning and Floating By. Just In Summer has more than a hint of nostalgia and melancholy, this ride is a rhodes-driven ode to the eternal sunset. Long live summer and stay true to your dreams. A new name to the house music community, Glennny is a guitar player, deejay and producer making his mark on the scene. His debut release Now You Know (NT126, 2024) included a remix from Canadian house don Jon Delerious and received widespread support from the likes of DJ Magazine, Hector Morales, Sandro Bianchi, Bart Ricardo, Eddie Richards, Rob Paine and many more. Originally from Wicklow, Ireland Glennny currently resides in Berlin where he has been exploring his artistic expression in the form of house music. On March 7, 2025, Brunch.wav came back at the doorstep of the place where his stroll began, after The Wound. A familiar scene, yet infused with a newfound energy. He had been on an exhilarating musical adventure and, after months of exploring new sounds and ideas, he was coming back again to Apparel Music. The first track, Farewell Fuel, greeted him like the pulse of the town he had left behind. It was a fast House bomb that jolted through his veins, reigniting the fire that had been burning inside him during his travels. It was a reminder of the rush and excitement of those uncharted territories where the beat never stopped. As he closed his eyes, the memories flooded backHe reminded of How Low Can You Go a smooth detour from the fast pace. The mellow bassline embraced him like a hug, soothing the frenetic energy of his travels. A pause, a moment to breathe. He found himself lost in the elegance of the melodies, as if he were walking through a misty cityscape, reflecting on the journey hed just completed. Stroll (Bad Day) marked the midway point, symbolising the whisper of the quiet melancholy that sometimes accompanied his wanderings. A reminder of the days when things didnt quite go to plan, the shadows of uncertainty. But Brunch.wav knew those experiences were part of his story. Finally, Swoon came like a warm embrace, the perfect ending to his tale. It was a trumpet-fueled celebration, a return home. His heart swelled as the melody swept over him, enveloping him in a sense of serenity. This track was the culmination of his journey, a soulful declaration that he was back, ready to start anew.. With Farewell Fuel EP Brunch.wav wasnt just releasing music; he was telling the story of his return - a story of journeys, memories, challenges, and the sweet relief of coming home. The fuel served his return to the starting point, making sure that the farewell became a see you later instead of a goodbye.
New collaboration project from Larry Heard and Micheal Kuntzman featuring vocalist Madeline as Fingers N Flowers. Larry Heard himself on production duties and it shines through in the detailed, flawless vocal deep house tracks. Mr. Fingers remix and some acidity with the remix for good measures.

Escola Records is back in the game with their second release, a Broken Beat & futuristic Deep House odyssey. On the first side Karmasound & Sara Bee open the EP with the uplifting soulful summer anthem Esperándote, full of choppy live drums, jazzy keys and sweet, melodic vocals. Next, musclecars deliver a dreamy remix of Esperándote, putting a futuristic twist on classic soulful NYC deep house. Lush and sensual, with a beautiful vocal outro, the remix has a warmth reminiscent of nighttime summer heat. Trencacintures (waist breaker) is the second original track of the EP, by Barcelonas JP Sunshine & Guim. The title of the track is a playful reference to its broken rhythm. Magical keys and intergalactic pads create a cosmic atmosphere on this fun tune. On remix duties we find the house producer Hugo LX taking the original on a deep excursion to the dance floor, adding breaks that make the track irresistibly groovy.

For the first release of 2025, its with great pleasure that we welcome an old friend to the Lazy Days family. French & Polish (ex-Londoner and now Cape Town based) producer Simbad (aka SMBD), is a key player in the world of modern electronic music. His list of collaborators reads like a Whos who of the best in the business : Coldcut, Ben Westbeech, Quantic, Fred P, Deetron, Karizma, Atjazz, Jose James, and the list goes on (and on…). Simbad has been a close collaborator of Gilles Peterson and his label Brownswood. Gilles considers him to be one of his favorite DJs and made him a resident at his Worldwide Festival. Praise indeed! Prolific and eclectic, his musical output as a producer includes Hip Hop (Roots Manuva), Dubstep (Mala), Brazilian (Seu Jorge), Afro Beat (Seun Kuti), Techno (Fred P, Jeff Mills), Broken Beat (Bugz In The Attic, Afronaut) and of course all things House (Local Talk, Atjazz Record Company, Defected, BBE…). The project came together during Fred Everythings last tour in South Africa when he asked Simbad if he had any tracks for the label. The next day, a gigantic folder of unreleased music from Simbads vault arrived in his Inbox that included many rough ideas written between 2012 and 2016. The main track Dream On features Kira on vocals, a relatively well-known hip-hop sample, and an infectious bass line. It comes with its instrumental version also. Facing Our Future is a beautiful arpeggiated ambient analog piece, and Sun Snack is one of the deepest house tunes youve heard in a long time. On remix duty, we have another old friend of ours, Giom. After a House hiatus of a few years, concentrating on his band PREP, Giom is back in the studio. His interpretation of Dream On is like he never went away. Its definitely a 2024 version of him that we love. Deep & quirky.
Afrika Alright opens with smoky, soulful vocals and lovely flute melodies next to wispy synth explorations, Dub Afrika pads it out with some extra pillowy low ends, then Hang On brings some bright xylophone melodies and jumbled percussion to a more Afro tinged house shuffler. Last of all is Super Hero with its whimsical synth leads and interesting sound designs adding rich detail to a dusty deep house groove. Timeless stuff as always from Miller
A warm welcome to Sonson, whos delivering the goods with the fantastic My Blues EP. The original took our hearts by storm with its silky-smooth live piano, effortlessly floating over a constantly driving, simple yet effective and uplifting groove work. So we immediately made plans for a full release with the talented Munich DJ and producer with whom we have been friends for years. It didnt take long until Michael, Sonsons real name, came up with the great idea of asking his old pal and French house don Franck Roger to remix the tune - an artist all of us deeply admire for his unique body of work and ongoing contribution to our scene (Real Tone, Earthrumental, countless nights at Paris Djoon club you name it). Luckily hes been digging the tune and made two utterly great versions by adding his magic - the uplifting Earthrumental Mix that sticks with the piano and a Dubthrumental that fully lives up to its name. The package is rounded off by Sonsons My Dub and My Beat versions and whereas the dub is a bit more stripped back, dropping off the piano while adding some trippy synth textures, the beat is just a perfect tool for the working DJ. Voila! Sonson is the latest project by Michael Heumann, an experienced DJ and producer from Munich. Born and raised in the city that serves as both his home and source of inspiration, he began his DJ career in the 2000s with sets initially heavily influenced by US house music. Over time, he explored various genres within electronic music, developing his own distinctive style that consistently takes his audience on a musical journey. In addition to numerous performances in national and international clubs, Michael has been a resident DJ at the legendary Munich club Pimpernel since 2017, and has also been responsible for DJ bookings there since 2024. He places a strong emphasis on collaborating with local DJs and producers to enrich the Munich scene and present fresh, exciting line-ups. As a producer, Sonson has already celebrated several successes: his tracks have been released on labels such as Diynamic, Aprapta and Barré Music and in early 2025, an EP will be released on the renowned Munich label Compost Records. Sonson is also known for his edits of artists like Depeche Mode, Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar and Everything But the Girl, which have since become staples in the sets of DJ icons like Solomun, Dixon and Trikk.
First up in DJulzs The School of Night EP on his Bass Culture label is Nu Bass, a fresh and upbeat house sound with kinetic percussion and well-swung drums. Steamy vocal coos and deft synth stabs build a compelling future vibe before Spooky Electrik comes in with more punchy but deep house sound. Dancing hi-hats pepper the groove along with curious little synth motifs, bringing a cosmic feel while the all-important bassline powers things forward. DJulzs knack for cooking up killer grooves is evident again on Money, Honey, Monday? which is jacked up and percussive but also hugely seductive, with the smeared vocals and warming pads keeping things classy and soulful. Last of all, Triperie is more menacing and stripped back - a paranoid lead synth roams about the mix as the crisp drums rise and fall in a fashion that will get floors marching late into the night. Julien Veniel, aka DJulz, has been a mainstay of the European scene for decades. He has established his Bass Culture label as one of house musics finest, always with a focus on deep sounds and punchy drum work. As well as his effective and stylish club cuts, he dropped his Silent Drums album of ambient back in 2020 and continues to DJ all over the world. He is an artist who knows how to get real feelings into his tracks and shows that again here.
