Looks like it was yesterday, but we are now celebrating 100 releases at the Warm Up headquarters, and who better to put the celebration at the proper level than the label boss and curator Oscar Mulero. In a solid career spanning across more than 30 years, Oscar Mulero has developed his own signature in the global techno scene. These 22 songs are the culmination of a personal sonic journey and makes the seventh full album in his discography. Across this extended tracklist Oscar explores the most scientific side of techno, where abstraction and alien sounds collide with precise rhythms and ultra mental arrangements, diving deep into sound design and studio mixing techniques. On this voyage, the machine starts slowly, almost beatless on the first cut Aquí y ahora, slowly growing in intensity and groove on Percepción y conciencia and En un círculo vicioso. The fourth track Diálogo con la realidad pushes the BPM rate and goes into danceable areas yet preserving the bleepy pulses and precise drum programming. The tension stops in the middle of the tracklists with Laberinto, resetting the spacecraft before going again into hyperspace for three more upbeat songs. On a journey under your skin things go mental again introducing the listener into some ethereal atmosphere before the last quarter of this extensive alien opera. This album is a reflection of a timeless approach to techno, to the roots of this sound that was meant to represent futurism and undiscovered sound territories through minimalism and electronic funk. Pyramidal Decode returns home after his Logical Interference EP from 2022, his soundcrafting has evolved significantly since then and now its time to provide us with a full length album, traveling across many sound paths, from completely beatless to pure floor action. Nine tracks that are meant to be listened in a row, telling a sonic story, carefully crafted and arranged a crescendo that starts from static bleeps and textures to broken rhythms across pure gymnastic tools and ending again in a relaxed mood. On the first four tracks the sound is minimal and scientific, starting with Climate Change, a solitary reverberated bleep spiced with micro noises going into the sci fi inspired Novel Entities, beatless but intense, ideal to be used as a mixing tool with a proper beat. Next comes Stratospheric Ozone Depletion floaty and liquid, the pure sound of non gravity. Action starts with Atmospheric Aerosol broken fast groove, heavy sub bass action and shuffled percussive work make this track the perfect tool for igniting any proper club. Ocean Acidification is a no remorse modern techno workout, direct to your feet but with a mental approach while Biogeochemical Flows goes martian and bleepy in a kind of futuristic interlude, bringing us to stress and dance again with Freshwater Use phrenetic and hypnotic all in one. Land-System Change slows down the pace, bringing the broken rhythms again and also employing bleeps and elastic resonant sound to start the descending from outer space. Finally, Biosphere Integrity brings us to the quiet and beatless feeling in a beautiful IDM exercise spice with subtle acid sequences.
