An integral figure of the Portland music community, Carly is known for their immersive and experimental sound design, bewitching DJ performances and unique compositional practices (see, for example, their Bong Orchestra). Heavy Color is the creative partnership of longtime collaborators Ben Cohen and Sam Woldenberg, who began playing music together in Toledo, Ohio over twenty years ago. Their discography spans physical environments, cultures and languages, bridging elements of spiritual jazz, traditional music, electronic psychedelia, and instrumental hip-hop. Mneme is the production alias of Elias Hallqvist, a producer, composer, and bassist based in Gothenburg, Sweden. In addition to a stellar EP out via Kimochi, Hallqvist plays and releases music as part of the explorative jazz band, Cosmic Wildlife.
