Columbian DJ and producer Cato Anaya follows up his recent Afro house hit for us (La Noche) with another Latin-influenced killer. This time collaborating with Presi On (who you will know from his current smash with Renate, Marcus Santoro & Kuuda on Blond:ishs Abracadabra label (The World), the versatile producer leans on another Latin classic for sample inspiration. Even though Guantanamera is a Cuban standard, the melody is known around the world and it works perfectly as a breakdown tonic in Anaya & Presi Ons percussion workout. Like Presi Ons release with Blond:ish, we can see this one working with a wide range of DJs, its pulsating groove delivering the kind of energy that will work on lots of floors.
Solardo are one of the UKs strongest club acts. The self-styled musical chameleons have created massive hits (Move Your Body, XTC) and smashed it on the big stages (Glastobury, Tomorrowland, EDC). Having concquered House and Tech House over the past 5 years, they hit 2025 with a twist. Outta Space samples the same Max Romeo classic (Chase The Devil, cleared before Romeos passing) that the Prodigy did. However, while the concept has been done before, Solardo bring the vocal up to date with a bang, delivering the kind of synth-propelled, bass-bouncing club track that fits in with Max Styler and Solomuns Indie Dance sound. Released in time for Ibiza openings, this is a huge island anthem in waiting, we can hear this one working venues vast and small over the summer. A scorcher.
Were big fans of Dario Pontecorvo, aka Draxx. As one of the first labels to release his turbocharged tech (his and CVMPANILEs barn-storming remix of Work) weve been enjoying his rise through the ranks. Most people will know him from his huge Techengue jam No No No on Ultra, but our favourite is his big room masterpiece Tomala (Se Mueve Se Siente) (w/ Andruss). Here he joins forces with fellow Italian Dave Delly for a slick DJ friendly tech banger. Im a Freak, the vocal announces, Im five foot nothing but nasty. All week, we keep it classy, but when the weekend comes we get trashy. Add to this the kind of drums that will make any room jump and a moody Armand Van Helden style breakdown, and you have a stand-out club winner. As if that wasnt enough, Draxx has included the super Loca as a B-side.
