10 years ago, Canadian veteran RMS flew down to headline a show in Chicago alongside American drum and bass OG Jaybee. Discovering a shared background in hip-hop and turntablism, a friendship was sparked that led to a decade long creative partnership. That initial weekend long studio session in a freezing Chicago basement turned into years of online collaboration from this pair of producers who take huge influence from the late 90s era dnb. When RMS & Jaybee submitted their initial demos to Dispatch Recordings it was immediate that they would be the perfect artists for the Dispatch Blueprints series, which it celebrates the heritage sound of drum and bass. Blueprint 1 and 2 have been carefully crafted over several years and represent some of the pairs best work to date. Whilst the flavour of each producer can be heard throughout each track, their styles gel to create a unique sound that elevates their music to new levels. With these first two EPs, their music has found the perfect home and were proud to present this exceptional pair of debut releases for Dispatch.
Black Barrel returns to Dispatch with the Follow Me EP, which includes a collaboration with his own dubstep alias, Leo Cap, as he explores both sides of his musical influences. Across four weighty tracks Black Barrel continues to demonstrate his mastery of sub-bass modulation and precision drum work, cut up with those classic Black Barrel vocal samples for a release that delivers infectious grooves and funk by the barrel load.
Exposure makes his debut Dispatch Recordings release with the Sub City EP- a release inspired by the musical city of Bristol, encapsulating its raw D&B energy. Born from late-night sessions in shared houses, these tracks channel the citys relentless sound, where bass lines blare and rattle windows in houses and in passing cars. From buying records at Chemical, skating at Motion, to then eventually DJing at Motion, Exposures journey has come full circle. Sub City EP pays homage to his roots, delivering sub-heavy bass and hard-hitting drums. Four weighty tracks, including a killer collaboration with Screamarts, coming straight from a city long soaked in drum and bass culture.
Marking a major milestone for Dispatch Recordings, we are proud to present Ed:its Word Out EP as our 200th release. Right from the early demo stage it was clear this EP had something special, making it the perfect choice for such a significant number. Ed:it himself embraced the moment, with the 200 becoming the central feature of Arp XPs striking artwork design. While, technically, weve already surpassed 200 releases if you include sub-labels, albums, and VIPs, this release still feels like a landmark moment which needed an EP that truly represented what Dispatch has stood for since 2001. Word Out EP delivers exactly that. Across five heavyweight tracks, Ed:it captures the raw energy and spirit that has defined Dispatch over the past two decades. Each track has been a staple in both Ed:it and Ant TC1s sets for the past two years, road-tested and refined to perfection.
Geostatic returns to Dispatch with the Losing Control EP-a deep, rolling exploration of emotion, movement, and collaborative synergy. Premiered on Austrias FM4 and features across Rinse FM, Kool FM, and SWU, these four tracks have been working their way through Europes airwaves and dancefloors alike. The title track Losing Control sets the tone with raw emotional energy, driven by haunting vocals and a locked-in groove that defines the EPs core. Reversed Destiny, a standout collab with Acris, flips time and space with reversed motifs inspired by Tenet, fusing both artists styles into something truly unique. Feral Funk, built with Dub Ten, blends deep subs and percussive energy with a nod to classic UK roots-born on a train ride, refined into a roller. Closing things out, Devotion rides a soulful bassline and hypnotic shuffle, completing the EPs journey with warmth and depth. A varied but cohesive body of work, Losing Control EP captures Geostatics signature touch while pushing the edges of the Dispatch sound.
