dovetail
Our debut EP Dovetail is a variation of our influences, styles, and genres. Our approach is to not be confined to one box or tied to one genre, and always starting a song with a new sound. The meaning of dovetail is simply to be joined together, which represents the collaboration between the two of us living across the country in different states (California & Florida). The final tracklist for the EP consists of ideas that started over the course of the last 4 years. We are grateful they found a home with Monta, and are excited to show our depth of creations to a bigger audience.

THE FUNK
A while back, I was assigned with producing a sample pack themed around older, dustier, traditional soundsystem music. The pack was made using influences from traditional dub, reggae, and UK Bass sounds. When seeking demos, crastinate sent back the v1 of THE FUNK. I reached out to use it as a collab, and we ended up creating a final in only a days time. It was really cool hearing how crastinate flipped the samples I made, and was really cool getting to add the final production, arrangement, mix, and vocal addition.
