Following the force-of-nature that was Tormenta, Melorama Música steps into the future with its latest exhibition, Fran Garays sophisticated Amplitude EP. Comprised of two hybrid gems, this new EP signals a monumental landmark for the Argentine imprint as it opens its creative refinery to new talents, ushering a new era for Melorama Música. Treading with utmost aplomb on the opening Amplitude, Garay conceives a perpetual motion machine where a thumping low-end pulse interlocks with gritty, effervescent ambiances, generating a hypnotic allure that pulls us deeper inside the piece as it works its unique alchemy. With Amplitude now gaining momentum, its cogs turn and grind, offsetting a meandering lead that ebbs and flows across the aural spectrum, tantalizing listeners with its marauding aura. Funky yet deadly serious, this first cut flexes a gargantuan black hole at its core that warps all of its elements, reconfiguring matter in a gripping act of manipulation before allowing for the space/time continuum to resume, washing over us in rapture. On the flip side, Garay returns with the ever-evolving Modularity. Another cavernous behemoth, this second cut finds the Argentine artist diving head first into a fizzy frame where restless hi-hats cut through the pouding mix as a stabbed bassline thrashes everything in its path. With the foundations in place, Modularity starts to unfurl, deploying a pulsating mid-section that grows in tension as the heat rises, while volcanic embers dance around us in a mystifying haze. With a complex blueprint, Garays second piece contorts and turns in elusive ways, challenging standards with its unpredictable demeanor for an unmissable joyride as we blaze into the unknown with nothing but certainty.
A new collaborative pairing to grace the Meanwhile catalogue, Kasey Taylor and Gai Barone embrace the musical talents of Wilma on their twin-track Passing Over the Clouds / Soul Mystique EP. Hugely respected figures in their own rights, Kasey Taylor and Gai Barone account for almost 1000 production credits between them. Featuring on the likes of Hernan Cattaneos Sudbeat Music, John Digweeds Bedrock and Nick Warrens The Soundgarden, Kasey is a genuine legend, not least through his own hugely influential Vapour Recordings. Similarly impressive, Gai is able to add releases on Tiestos Black Hole, Markus Schulzs Coldharbour and John 00 Flemings JOOF, to the mix with almost a century on Elef Tsiroudis Afterglow Records. After Gai Barone remixes of Kasey Taylors Simplicity and Mysterious Madness in 2021 and 2024, the Australian/Italian axis saw a first collaborative EP appear courtesy of Distance Between Us / From Afar on Afterglow late last year. Now combining with classically trained cellist, Wilma, the Australian musician has found herself much in demand with 25 years devotion to her art and releases on the likes of Stone Seed, Beat & Path and The Soundgarden. With an all-encompassing sound that bridges underground house, melodic techno and electronica, Wilma has lit up dance music in the 2020s. Opening with a fizzing percussive top line, Passing Over the Clouds is an immaculately conceived offering that quickly sees an array of twinkling arps, pads and synths sitting atop a sub-bassline and rasping analogue variation. Evolving with a kaleidoscopic pattern of effects, the various melodic elements come to the fore in a breakdown that blossoms with the introduction of Wilmas exquisite and free-flowing cello. Intertwined seamlessly with synth phrasing in the latter stages, the final movement drops back into familiar rhythmic patterns. Partner track, Soul Mystique continues the majestic melodic narrative with flowing synth patterns, harder-edged arp patterns and twinkling piano combining to magical effect. Pausing briefly in the early stages, Wilmas coruscating cello weaves an emotive sonic tapestry that fits perfectly within the surrounding musical palette. A multi-oscillator bassline adds range and rhythmic cadence in synchronicity with a thumping beat and ticking shakers to provide a sublime dancefloor structure to mystical melodies that envelope the listener. Floating skywards with serene beauty, Kasey Taylor, Gai Barone and Wilma have reached new heights with Passing Over the Clouds / Soul Mystique. Directed by GMJ & Matter Mastered by Cid Inc. Solis Records proudly presents a striking new release from Argentinian producer Berni Turletti. Known for his melodic and atmospheric productions, Berni takes a fresh step into darker territory with this two-track EP. Juicebox Musics 85th release welcomes back Tomas Briski from Córdoba (Argentina) to the label with his solo EP featuring Kupalo & Juno 77. Tomas Briski initially graced his presence on the label through Solina, his contribution to the 2nd edition of our Fables compilation. With prior appearances on Nick Warrens The Soundgarden, Mayros Traful & Mangos Mango Alley, he continued to step up with new releases on Analog Jungs Constellation Music, Alex ORions Solis, Bondarevs WARPP and Chris Forshaw + Javier Ordunas influential Nightcolours. Tomas Briskis quest for combining innovative sonics and grooves to emote soul, all the while giving attention to detail with every element, has earned himself the bragging rights to be a must-watch artist for the future. He pushes the envelope even further with his latest outing, a whirlwind of an EP with Kupalo showcasing the more driving & hypnotic side and Juno 77 reflecting his chunkier & dirtier side. The sole remix in this release belongs to Tonaco, who churns out his rendition of Tomas Briskis Kupalo. The Tocantins (Brazil) native first graced our label with his stunning & chart-topping remix of Chaum & Hobin Rudes Cressida, where it still sits at #1 on his personal Top 10 productions. Climbing through the ranks with releases on GMJ & Matters meanwhile & fellow countryman GORKIZs Transensations, Tonacos knack of finding a catchy groove while pursuing memorable musical moments within his compositions has cemented his productions as a cut above the rest. His rendition of Tomas Briskis Kupalo is a prime example of his borderless capability. Unrelentless. Undeniable.
Redspace returns front and centre to the label with this new collaborative release alongside Dr. Shamenkov. The track Practice of Silence further enhances the reputation of Redspace on the progressive house stage with two mixes oozing melodic, rhythmic quality.
Paul Deep is back on Sudbeat with that signature sound that helped him building a solid reputation within the progressive house Argentinean realm. A creative powerhouse with music signed to everyone from All Day I Dream to Beat Boutique via The Soundgarden and more, Pauls tunes have soundtracked plenty of dance floors worldwide thanks to his natural instinct in creating chunky grooves and mental riffs that are super effective in a djset. Opening with Rea, tough kicks and icy atmospherics create a machine funk vibe layering percussions and dark sonics. Groovy and uncompromising, theres no let up in the break which powers forward for the darker floors. Pulsa De Nura continues apace. Dark drums light up the floor as squelchy bass and sparse percussion introduce us to the melodics before bursting into life. Heads down to the break, a keyed hook adds light relief before we plunge back into the depths of the peak time night.
The Munich-based label Plattenbank, led by Guy Manzur, presents a striking two- track release that brings together an unexpected artistic collaboration. While ECHO DAFT has previously contributed to Plattenbank with tracks on the fifth and ninth editions of the labels bestselling compilation, Secrets, this marks the first official release showcasing his studio partnership with Kebin Van Reeken. Both artists have built strong international followings, and their combined efforts have resulted in a seamlessly crafted 17-minute sonic journey that could stand as one of the creative high points in their careers. The opening track, Years of Ascent, sets the tone with a hypnotic groove and distinctive percussion, stirring deep-seated memories and invoking instinctive movement reminiscent of ancient ceremonial dances. At the same time, its refined production techniques ensure an immersive experience, whether played through massive festival sound systems or in more intimate club settings. The arrangement builds subtly, reaching a peak just before the fifth minute, where the musical vision converges with resonant feedback that energizes any dance floor. The second track, Mysterious Drag, extends the mood but shifts the focus toward an infectious melody. It takes center stage, gradually emerging from the background, shaping the emotional arc, and culminating in a euphoric peak designed for maximum dance-floor impact. With this release, ECHO DAFT and Kebin Van Reeken have created a cohesive yet distinctive work that leaves the door open for future collaborations while standing firmly as a testament to their shared artistry.
Were thrilled to welcome British-born, Sydney-based artist Fraser Rix to the onedotsixtwo family with his stunning new Elemental EP. Featuring three captivating tracksElemental, Echoes, and Strawberry Cake. This release showcases Frasers deep, immersive sound. A rising force in electronic music, Fraser has been making waves with releases on The Soundgarden, Mango Alley, and Massive Harmony Records, both as a solo artist and alongside his close collaborator, Covsky (Sam Cooke) and also through a collaboration named Inherent that also includes Tristan Case. Each track on Elemental is a masterclass in groove, blending tight percussion, crisp stabs, and atmospheric synth work to create a rich, dancefloor-driven energy. On remix duties, weve enlisted Mind Echoes, one of Brazils most exciting new talents, who delivers a hypnotic and melodic rework of Strawberry Cake—a perfect complement to Frasers deep, textured sound. Welcome to the family, Fraser. This one is special. ?
Continuing to showcase exciting new talent, Clubsonica Records welcomes COQUEIT to the label for his debut EP. Hailing from Argentina, COQUEIT has been a fixture of the progressive house scene across the last four years. The Cordoba resident first rose to prominence with a string of early projects for AH Digital and Droid9 South America, where he established a melodic, progressive style that made him a name to watch. Continuing to perfect his craft going forward, COQUEIT would earn the support of genre tastemakers Antrim, Ezequiel Arias, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Sahar Z, in turn landing him releases via Mango Alley and Univack. With the onset of 2025 highlighted by a well-received debut for Or Two Strangers, COQUEIT continues to break further ground as the year enters its second quarter, adding Clubsonica to his resume with Warning. The peak time sounds of the title selection Warning steal the air and present a prophetic monochrome within COQUEITs repertoire, as charged beats, rebounding rhythms and pyrotechnic effects converge for an electric narrative. Advancing the journey further across the break, its a set of siren-like synth flairs which emerge and travel to the very edges, before a finale of heavily manipulated stabs cast a paranoid spell over the dancefloor. The second selection Fox River finds COQUEIT crafting a groovy melodic number thats nicely suited for those uplifting dancefloor moments. Smooth key changing basslines forecast a powerful yet emotive low end, while glowing pads and effervescent melodies instantly commands your attention. Coming to full friction during the interlude, trance-inducing motifs provide an enduring main theme, eventually culminating in a crescendo of effects-laden euphoria. Rounding out the release are the multi-dimensional sounds of Sona. Instantly seductive, its industrial structures and mesmerizing machine progressions drive each other into a whirlpool of spiralling directions, making for a flexible club track that bends between scenes while injecting vibrant energy into the dancefloor. The sixth release from the Early Morning, run by Guy J, seamlessly upholds the reputation for quality while enriching its catalog with another standout addition. This time, the spotlight falls on Cypherpunx, a UK-based production duo comprising Douglas Horner and Tim Belcher. Since 2019, Horner and Belcher have released on some of the most esteemed labels, yet this marks their first collaboration with Early Morning. The lead track, Cyclone, is a masterclass in dancefloor energy, offering a meticulous blend of vintage influences and cutting-edge studio techniques. Its fluid, hypnotic arrangement weaves atmospheric textures, sci-fi-inspired effects, and ethereal vocal chants, resulting in an immersive sonic character. Psychedelic nuances elevate the composition, evoking a sense of transcendence while maintaining a crisp, modern production aesthetic. Closing the release is a remix by Khen, a prominent figure in the electronic music scene whose work continues to gain industry acclaim. His reinterpretation of Cyclone preserves the essence of the original while introducing a unique perspective shaped by his signature sound. By juxtaposing primal tribal percussion with an intricate and cerebral approach to sound design, Khen highlights the emotional core of the melody, presenting it in a fresh and compelling light.
A very special release on Meanwhile, Marsh joins the artist roster with an exceptional remix of Zankee Gulatis Mind Opener. Marking the 70th release on the GMJ & Matter curated imprint, Tom Marshall joins a long list of leading producers, with his Marsh production soubriquet. UK-born but fully ensconcing the nomadic lifestyle of an A-list touring DJ in North America, Marsh has skyrocketed to global success after signing to behemoth UK label Anjunadeep in 2018, home to the likes of Quivver, Ben Böhmer and Jody Wisternoff. Headliner at the famous Printworks London and The Brooklyn Mirage in front of more than 10,000 adoring fans, Marshs rise to stardom has been courtesy of an incredible production talent. Over 150 production credits and 3 full-length albums for the aforementioned Anjunadeep has seen him become a staple of the Beatport Progressive House, Trance and Melodic Techno charts. Additional work for Monstercat Silk, Armada and Armin Van Buurens A State Of Trance have only added to Marshs cachet in the world of electronic club music, as has a recent collaboration with Sasha on February 2024s Dead Synthy. Now making his Meanwhile debut, Marsh takes reinterprets a track from Zankee Gulatis October 2024 EP. Reworking the luscious soundscapes of Mind Opener, a whip-cracking kick immediately provides a more uptempo vibe before off-beat hats enter the fray in a traditional house groove. Familiar melodies from the Australians track quickly become apparent as the chord progressions central to the original find their way atop of a sub-bass groove. Rippling arpeggios and counterpoint motifs coated in rich reverbs and subtle delays create a wonderfully textured affair that build upon the melodic themes inherent in Mind Opener before taking them in new club-friendly directions. Ethereal vocals add an angelic touch before a gradually filtered motif creates a smooth pause for the breath at the breakdown. Hitting the heights once again, a snare roll crescendo heralds a second half where the beautifully rippling arpeggio sits alongside the cadenced organ sound creating a sublimely deep, house vibe. Fuelled by the energy of countless smiles and furious dancefloor reactions collected weekend after weekend, Mike now steps confidently into the spotlight with his debut EP—a well-deserved moment to share his sonic identity with the wider electronic music community. The journey begins with the title track, Strato—a groove-heavy roller driven by low-slung beats and a rubbery bassline. Subtle stabs and lush, reverberated vocal textures weave through the mix, crafting a hypnotic atmosphere thats tailored for late-night vibes. Next up, Fever Dream takes hold. An altogether deeper affair, its Latin American feels are hard to resist. Silky smooth hypnotic vibes abound as ethereal vocals and razor sharp sonics juxtapose with gleeful intent. Closing the EP, Carbon takes things into cinematic territory. Airy, Bladerunner-esque pads set a mysterious tone, while arpeggiated hooks build tension, priming the floor for a proper energy blow.
Its clear by now that District is all about big tracks, a sound that fuses techno and progressive into something we call Progno. Why another word when there are already so many different genres? Because the term progressive house doesnt cover what we stand for. This 3 track Patch Park EP is another perfect example of that. 3 monster tunes injected with steroids. Have a listen and judge for yourself. And enjoy, see u on the dancefloor.
Bursting onto the Progressive House scene in mid-2020, Fausto Javier Loza has carved out quite a name for himself with his FJL production moniker. Since a debut on Balkan United, the Argentinean producer has found his music allied to such esteemed imprints as sister Madlochs Sound Avenue and 3rd Avenue, Roger Martinezs HIGHER STATES and Mangos all-conquering Mango Alley. Now the Rosario resident from the province of Sante Fe, debuts on Proportion with a 3-track EP of the highest order as FJL presents his Alter Ego / Losstower / Rare Wizards EP. With a deep, fizzing bassline narrative running throughout the triptych, Alter Ego is a chunky rhythmic powerhouse that sees a chest-thumping kick paired with a deliciously grooved bass pattern creating a sublime rolling pattern. A kaleidoscopic array of effects and risers are scattered across the 6-minute piece as a delicate arpeggiated melody gradually evolves from the low-end foundation. Pulsating white-noise washes and a hypnotic dance-floor vibe add to proceedings in an impressive opener. A Tech House vibe infuses Losstower with its plethora of stereo-panned effects and sub-bass groove. A series of cleverly treated vocal effects add to the sonic melange with their eerie overtones, while meticulously programmed hats and shakers provide dancefloor urgency. Subtle melodic flourishes add to the overall feel and the result is a production masterclass from the FJL studio. The final offering sees Rare Wizards immediately showcase its club-friendly credentials through house rhythm and hypnotic bass sequence. In keeping with its partner tracks, a flurry of deep, dark and powerful effects make their presence felt alongside evolving textures and immaculate melodic touches. Layer upon layer of evermore intricate sounds come to the fore, felt especially keenly at the powerfully pulsing breakdown, before returning to the dramatic rhythmic urgency and plethora of effects that create a track bringing to mind such maestros such as John Digweed, Quivver and Jamie Stevens.
Roger Martinezs Higher States opens the spring season by welcoming Hobin Rude to the label for his debut EP. Hailing from Serbia, Hobin Rude first emerged in 2020 on the strength of a remix for Jelly For The Babies One Of A Kind imprint. His progressive sounds quickly found favour with the genres premiere tastemakers in Armen Miran, Eelke Kleijn, Guy Mantzur, Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, eventually leading to releases via Hoomidaas, Juicebox Music, Mango Alley, Plattenbank, Sudbeat, The Soundgarden and WARPP. Also an established DJ, the Belgrade resident has played across the globe, showcasing his keen sense of dancefloor dynamics alongside elite international talents Guy J, Roy Rosenfeld, Tim Green and Volen Sentir, amongst others. With 2025 already yielding key projects for iNU and Mango Alley, Hobin now adds Higher States to his resume with Lunar Bloom. Beginning with Lunar Bloom, Hobin showcases a groovy melodic approach which sets the tone for the EP. Full of alluring textures and smooth design qualities, the Serbian phenom expertly blends plush kick drums and warm shapely grooves, with haunted vocal refrains, rebounding rhythms and emerging atmospheres, for a captivating path into the break. Further revealing his creative attitude across the interlude, its a cinematic array of texture which emerges to reveal bucolic motifs and plucked melodies for a hopeful moment, before getting washed away in a rush of beats and percussion for an uplifting finale. The second and final selection Eclipse Harmony finds Hobin collaborating with fellow countryman Nikola Jovanovic. Returning to spearhead Meanwhiles output as 2025 kicks into gear, the collaborative pairing of GMJ & Matter deliver Telomeres alongside a remix from Australian icons Kasey Taylor and Karl Pilbrow for their 2023 hit EXT 135 to round out the package. The Melbourne-based duo behind the Meanwhile imprint are widely recognised as responsible for helping shape the modern Progressive House scene. Pivotal in the development of the labels development both as solo artists and with their combined output, their work on Meanwhile has seen the Lost on Origin, Gauntlet and Eldarin EPs all released over the labels inaugural year (between April and August 2020), before The Path / Perfect Storm followed 6 months later. 18 months elapsed before Ext 135 / Elemental / Time To Space appeared at the end of 2022 with Stellaris / Idritah following a year later in December 2023. Now as 2025 finds its feet, GMJ & Matter provide their fans with a seventh original release on their ever-evolving label. The powerful building blocks that shape Telomeres evolve easily from its rolling groove foundations and deep sub-bassline sequence. A muted arp comes to the fore in perfect synchronous cadence while the endless delays present in the analogue motif cascade across the stereo spectrum filling the sonic space. A new and dynamic arpeggio appears at the breakdown as its gradual open filter provides the weight and dancefloor gravitas to herald a drop into the third movement. The same sequence makes an appearance in the second half in combination with the other rhythmic and melodic characters, to devastating effect. Vapour Recordings head honcho, Kasey Taylor needs little introduction to the Meanwhile cognoscenti. A bona fide electronic music legend, the Australian artist has been at the vanguard of the progressive scene since the mid-90s with a double century of credits on such esteemed imprints as Sudbeat Music, Afterglow and John Digweeds Bedrock and a century on his own Vapour Recordings. New Zealander, Karl Pilbrow moved to his adopted Melbourne home in 2012 before a partnership with Kasey Taylor witnessed a score of production credits including 2020s Amber Skies and 2023s Fairlight on Hernan Cattaneos Sudbeat. A trio of original releases on Vapour followed, not least in July 2024s Sonorous / Alluvium / Inscape. Now debuting on Meanwhile, the Kasey Taylor & Karl Pilbrow remix of EXT 135 contains the deep bassline presence of the original while an unrelenting, rapid-fire groove creates a magical tension. Developing sonic intrigue, the melodic progression of the originals breakdown is found wedded to the driving rhythm in majestic and spine-tingling fashion. Full of bassline intensity, familiar vocal cuts and melodic fragility are the perfect counterweight to the rhythmic heft. Protecting their legacy with another silky-smooth offering, Telomeres sees GMJ & Matter at their creative best. Directed by GMJ & Matter Mastered by Cid Inc. Design by Matter Text by James Warren
Ambassador, you are spoiling us! Thats right, in our role as House & Techno (and all flavours inbetween) global emissaries, we here at Selador like to think were masters in finding the cherry to place atop the cake…or indeed the icing…or arguably both in this case, as we cook up not one but two sizzling, oven-ready remixes (enough with the ropey baking analogies, get a move on – exasperated Ed). Sorry. Where were we? Oh yes – a top notch remix package, thats where. Hot on the heels of getting you all somewhat hot under the collar by unveiling Dannys splendiferous new double header release, here in its slipstream, hoving into view in the rear-view mirror and set to join them in pole position, are two majestic re-rubs of Stereodrama. The annals of Seladorian history are chock-full of top-drawer collaborations, and now added to that esteemed list, we have Aubrey Fry (Bedrock and LNOE stalwart making a long overdue and most welcome Selador debut) teaming up with a man who is quickly becoming a Selador lynchpin, Nick Stoynoff. Their version excursion twists and turns (like a twisty turny thing, as a wise man once said), and much as this is both an over- and often mis-used expression, it genuinely takes you on a journey through the sonic stratosphere, a mix of two halves as the deep and driving opening salvo blends into a genuinely euphoric crescendo. And we aint done yet! Enter stage left Toulouse-based techno troubadour DCLVIII OFC, another label debutant who were beyond chuffed to have on the team. Tempo up, heads down, lights low, volume knob turned up to 11 for a brooding masterclass set to rattle a bassbin near you any night now. Team Selador - Drama queens! x
I started DJing around 2007, and the sound of early 2000s progressive house has shaped my taste in more ways than I can possibly imagine. To this day, I always weave those nostalgic moments into every set that I play, as I try to create timeless dance floor moments. Faxing Berlin is a cover of the enduring hit Faxing Berlin. Having played it countless times over the years, I decided it was time to make my own interpretation of it, using the epic chord progression of the original, but with modern sound design, the result is a track that can move dance floor in a very powerful way (as Ive seen in my own sets). Taking on such a classic is no small feat, but in the end, I was able to pay my homage to it in a unique way. - Anton Tumas

Since its inception in 2016, Cornucopia has been a musical project synonymous with creativity and depth. The name itself, rooted in ancient mythology, symbolizes abundance and prosperity. Today, it evokes the same spirit— a metaphorical horn overflowing with ideas and innovation. This ethos emerges in the latest release, the fifth offering from the new label run by Guy J. The music is a testament to artistic richness and a celebration of sonic exploration. The release opens with Remember Me, a mellow yet groove-infused track tailor-made for sunset moments by the sea. Built on hypnotic layers, it evolves into an atmospheric journey that blends joy, subtle ecstasy, and vibrant energy. In an age of musical hyperproduction, Remember Me is a reason alone to celebrate Cornucopias return. Yet, it is only the beginning; the unexpected euphoria unfolds as the release progresses. Seasoned partygoers often categorize tracks by their vibe—some are designed for the night, while others are for the early hours. The title track, Early Morning, is an ode to the latter, crafted to accompany the most dedicated dancers as they greet the dawn. Driven by uplifting arpeggios, the track radiates unfiltered positivity, eliciting smiles and a deep connection among those on the dance floor. Already road-tested in DJ sets, this euphoric anthem has been hailed as a secret weapon of underground music, delivering pure joy with every beat. Released by the Early Morning label, it is a fitting finale to this remarkable collection. With its undeniable potential to become a future classic, Cornucopias latest offering is an experience that lingers long after the final note.

Univack is proud to present Fractals / Bitter Misery, the new EP from the legendary Gai Barone. The fourth single from Estivas highly anticipated forthcoming album has arrived, and its another electrifying addition to his ever-expanding arsenal of progressive house gems. KFIL (short for Keep Falling In Love) showcases the Dutch producers unparalleled ability to blend innovation with club-ready energy, solidifying his place as one of the most exciting artists on the scene today. A standout feature of KFIL is the use of a vocoder, adding a robotic, emotional edge to the tracks hypnotic vocal refrain. Estiva pairs this with a driving bassline, shimmering synth layers, and pulsating rhythms that build into a euphoric crescendo, making KFIL a surefire hit for both dance floors and airwaves. After several Beatport Progressive House Chart topping releases, he gears up to headline Colorize Manchester and Colorize London this spring, following a string of sold-out shows across NYC, Chicago, Denver, and London.
Sudbeat #266 brings back the Don himself alongside his fellow producer and illustrious guitarist Mercurio, a duo that knows how to deliver the goods. El Maestro needs little introduction, a staple of South American dance music for over three decades, Hernàn is a firm favourite worldwide and a renowned ambassador for progressive house itself. Mercurio is a lifelong fan of music as well as a guitar master, an electronic live act and a producer with releases on several high profile labels including Balance, Cercle and more . Opening with the joyous Altered Reality, sparse percussions and insistent arps drive the track from the off. Wild FX and sweeps keep the ear candy sweet while the analog-y synths weave a narcotic tale. In the final section, a wonky plucked lead adds even more energy. On the flip, Cliff to Nowhere keeps that peak time vibe going. Sparsely percussive, the synths again lead the way, building layers upon layers. Just as a Hernàn set sucks you into the groove vortex, the masterful melodics are dreamy and hip shaking with bags of personality.
Awake in Motion is the result of the collaboration between Gux Jimenez, Kurt Caesar, and Yvy Prescott, who deliver a captivating EP with three original tracks. Rooted in Progressive House yet infused with Tech House influences, this release offers a unique sonic journey. Released under the Univack label, it is designed to deeply resonate on the dancefloor and connect with listeners on an emotional level. Awake in Motion, the title track of the EP, is defined by its direct and catchy melodic structure and atmospheric textures that invite the listener on an introspective journey. Precise percussion and pulsating basslines evolve dynamically, creating an intense and steady groove. Flying High follows the melodic thread but introduces a more ethereal touch, with bright synths and subtle vocal elements that elevate the energy and evoke a sense of freedom and expansion. Perfect for transitional moments in a set, it brings an emotional nuance that deeply resonates with the listener. Free Your Soul closes the EP with a more rhythmic and immersive approach, featuring a hypnotic melodic progression. Layered soundscapes intertwine to create a fully immersive atmosphere, ideal for maintaining energy on the dancefloor. This EP stands out not only for its sophisticated production but also for its ability to convey a compelling sonic narrative that captivates the listener. Awake in Motion represents Univacks dedication to innovation and quality within the electronic music scene. Fans of progressive and melodic house are in for a treat with this rework, which showcases Hernan Cattaneo and Mercurios impeccable artistry and knack for transforming a great track into something extraordinary.
Huhu has been a secret weapon of Guy J in many of his gigs. This high energy track reminds of that early 2000, techno fueled progressive sound when phones where not around on the dancefloor, magic times. Cortona takes it even up a notch, something we didnt see coming. 2 Peaktime monsters, exactly what to expect from District!
