#69 Feat. Staff Picks in Indie Dance

After a hiatus, uju Records is back with a comet-like EP. The record features Shubostars Galaxy Walker Original Mix, along with a remix by the legendary Italo Disco artist, Italo Brutalo. Shubostars signature warmth and unique retro sound are now realized on a grand scale. The image of a lone pilgrim walking through the vastness of space comes to mind. His journey is filled with freezing snowstorms, mysterious and beautiful galaxies, and chaotic cosmic dust. Yet, the pilgrim presses on, undeterred by the hardships. The distinctive artwork by Daryung Kim is also striking. A young boy calmly walks through a neon blue universe, which I believe represents the true essence of the pilgrim-a journey set out with pure will. Italo Brutalos remix takes the original mix to a faster beat, with more elaborate drum sounds, making it more dancefloor-friendly. The free-spirited vintage synth sounds he adds evoke the playful, innocent nature of a boy at play. We hope you enjoy a joyful space journey with uju Records long-awaited new EP, Galaxy Walker!
